CHALLENGE: Use Your Stash

OMG! I need to stay OUT of the product junkyism thread. Why did I go in there???I've been in Target, TJ Maxx, Marshall's and the mall since I started this challenge and I haven't been tempted to buy anything. But what I just read in that thread is really testing me. Don't go in there!!!

That was part of my Hair Resolution....not to go in the PJism thread. I am proud to say I have not been over there any in 2010. I'm not going over there.

I am not going in that thread either! It encourages you to buy products that CLEARY we don't need.

@Lynn & Pinkrage: Yeah, I'm gonna have to make some sort of pledge not to go in there again. My curiosity got the best of me.

@Chrs: I had no idea they sold products. Maybe it's just certain locations? I wonder if you can use one of the thousands of coupons they send on hair stuff?

ok so I was in Bloom today getting soap,feminine products, and Hot Pockets..and just "happen" to skim past the hair line and Garnier Frutis (spelling) was calling my name...so i resisted the urge and after picking up the rubbing alcohol from a bottom shelf...i see Aussie Moist! The one wit the pump! i am NOT goin into the product review ANYTHING anywhere til i make it past my 3 month mark. Im thinking i maybe able to stretch out my challenge for 6 months becuz i have travel's inspiration of gettin down to using ONLY my hg's!

i've already accummulated $50 into my "hair" acct ($20 for checking the hair aisle in whole foods, $10 for butters n bars order BEFORE the challenge and $20 for replacing the suave's condish i gave my brother after xmas...i really didnt need to get it since my hair is in braids and its ALWAYS on sale [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] )

you ladies keep me strong! i gotta get it together cuz i'd like to start my vacay fund.

@Chrs: I meant I wonder if you could use BBB's coupons--like the bazillion $5 off and 20% off coupons they send--on hair stuff.

@Nubie: I think you can do it (6 months). I'm going to keep it simple from here on out. I'm tempted just to toss almost everything and start over. LOVE the idea of starting a vacay travel fund! Where would you go?

I'm getting ready to give away products I know I will never use again.

I already made my give away bag. I will be taking it to church on Sunday. I also have a bag for the shelter. It was stuff under my son's sink that I TOTALLY forgot about.

I will be doing the same thing. I am gonna send a message to the naturals at church first via Facebook so I wont be hauling too much stuff.

OK, I just got 3 new Denmans, 3 Uncle Funky Daughter's products, AND a natural hair book delivered today!! (I've gotten 2 other deliveries this week and a few more on the way ) I'm sorry y'all, Mother just can't use up her stash!!!

I have to go to TJ Maxx tomorrow to pick up some EO shower gel (great sulfate free shower gel by the way).

so uhm I was proud because of what? tht I got out of there with out buying any products. I mean they had my Alba stuff too!
