Henna & Heat? Empty Henna & Heat?

I'm ready to henna my hair over the holiday, however, I'm also due for a trim; It's been 3 months. My plan is to go to my stylist to have her flat iron and trim but should I henna before or after? HELP! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I've straightened my hair directly after doing henna once--the only thing that was different to me was how thick my hair was straight.

So I think it's your preference on if you want to wait until after you have it done professionally. Smile

Thanks curlie:) Think I'm gonna do it after the henna...I don't mind a thick flat iron! The bigger the better.

henna adds a lot of volume to the hair, along with strengthening and conditioning the hair, almost (BUT NOT QUITE) akin to the effects of a reconstructor or protein treatment. So that would actually be an ideal time to flat-iron.. Looking forward to seeing your results!
