Accountability Thread Empty Accountability Thread

Post by *CurlyNikki* 1st November 2009, 11:53 am

Yup, so I haven't touched my treadmill since I posted about it in that other thread. I have been drinking 1-3 green drinks daily, but I'm no eating as well as I should be.

I'm starting this thread so that we can pop in and share what we did for the day: the healthy things we ate, and the workouts we did despite NOT feeling like it. It will hold us accountable while inspiring others to get off the couch too!

You can check in daily, every other day, or once a week.

To healthy hearts, and fab abs Smile

Hello Nikki,
I am new to your community blog but have been following your page for about two months now. Just wanted to say that I enjoy the site, as well as one of my bff's, and Im looking forward to this accountability thread in particular. Smile I have once again recommitted myself to weight loss, and with the help of my new MacBook Laughing Ill be able to keep you all posted with pics hopefully once a month with my progress. I hope you will achieve tonage (although spell check has reminded me this isn't a word!) to your liking!!!

I'm in! I soo need this thread. I have a gym membership and my hubby also just got his hand on the P90X, so I have no excuse to not work out (except just plain laziness). I'm starting tomorrow!

great idea!!!!!! here goes:

bfast: oats with organic brown sugar
snack: fresh apples in vanilla yogurt
lunch: corn and black bean medley (is one of the dishes i make sure to have on hand every week because you can do so much with it) and sour cream in toasted pita
snack: bbq chips with sour cream
dinner: homemade soup with noodles, celery, corn, tomatoes, cabbage, peas, onions with sour cream

i usually eat more than this, but i guess its just one of those days.

I'm in!!! Yesterday and so far today I have done great with my eating. No sweets (unrefinded sugars like candy, cookie and cakes) in almost 2 days (that is freakin good for me because I have to have something sweet at every meal). I did not even touch my daughter's halloween candy. I am still doing good with the workout routine...just need help with my eating.

Stay blessed ladies!

hey, i hear ya on them sweets!!!!!! just a couple of days ago i had mango key lime pie. so good!!!! because i have issues with my sweet tooth, i make sure to really find some good natural alternatives!!! my FAV is adding ripe fruits in vanilla yogurt (or whatever flavor you like). this is perfect because the sweetness is just what i needed! sometimes, i like to add a little of organic brown sugar to the mix and/or granola. HTH!!

Lovin this thread: I'm in

Breakfast:
2 egg frittata minis that I made. I put them in muffin cups (too cute). I had mushrooms, onions, green peppers, canadian bacon and a tad bit of cheese in it
1 slice of whole wheat raisin swirl bread

Lunch:
Baked Tilapia
brown rice
cucumber & tomato salad

Snack:
Kind Plus cranberry & Almond bar--loaded with antioxidents ladies!!!! It's high in vitamins A, C & E
good source of fiber, no hydrogenated oils or sulphur Dioxide, gluten free, no trans fats. I order mine from Amazon, but Kroger and the Vitamin Shoppe sell them

Snack 2:

I love stoneyfield farm organic french vanilla yogurt.

I add fruit to it.
Today I added fresh strawberries or I do a frozen berry medley that consists of blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.

Exercise: 1 hour of muscleworks class

Afternoon Snack I brought:
Laughing cow creamy swiss triangle
Special K Italian tomato n herb crackers

Hi TerraD,

Sorry that I'm just responding to this. I honestly thought I did.

I need to start measuring more but this is what I normally do:

2 cucumbers
2 tomatoes but normally I have cherry tomatoes on hand so I chop the entire little pint of those
1 yellow onion
I use zesty Italian dressing or just AVC depending on my taste buds that day

I add the dressing to the salad by the tablespoon(mixing well after each addition) until it looks saturated enough for me. I refrigerate a few hours before I eat so make it the night before

I didn't see this thread! lol There are two! Which one do I use? I'll post on both for now. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Today I did 1 hour on the stationary bike. I have been doing so bad lately! The holiday's are right around the corner and at this rate, I will not be getting in the picture with the kids when they take their holiday photos. *sigh* Maybe next year.

I hope to post every day. We will see.....

Edit: I did 30more mins on the bike yesterday.

Oh, I need this thread in my life [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] --

Ran on the treadmill between 3-5mph for about 20 minutes. I also did a "trailblazer" program that had me 'hiking' as well for about another 20 minutes.

I ran for 5 minutes straight without decreasing the speed from 5mph but it's all mental for me and I'm prior military so I really need to get this together! So, tomorrow I think I'll try to increase my endurance time from 5-6 minutes and continue on each day....

I'm drinking a natural weight loss drink called TaiSlim and it's helping so far...I'll keep you guys informed!
