Flax seed Gel

So this week end i finally went to the store and got some flax seed and attempted at my first batch it was pretty successful i tried using a lil bit on the side of my hair before i cornrowed my hair and i have to say i like it it holds my hair without making it super crunchy so need less to say i'm please with the results and my hair is telling me that it likes products closer to natural However i do have a question i added some raw honey to mines because i didn't have any other essential OILs on hand when it goes bad how will i know ? will it smell funny ? or change color ?

ive never tried this but maybe u should keep it in the fridge just incase

I think that is what the ladies do keep it in the fridge and I had some I made and forgot about it.. When I opened it it looked fine but had a funny smell.. I kept it 2 weeks not in the fridge
