Ok....so what about flax seed oil...??
Ok so I was in my fridge earlier today and noticed that I still have some flax seed oil in there. I initially bought it for diet purposes but the stuff tastes nasty as hell so it's been in there for a minute. Still good though.
So have any of you used or heard of using flax seed oil for hair? I imagine you can use most, if not all, natural oils for your hair so this may be a silly question. Just wanna get some feedback from you ladies. and please share recipes!!! Thanks!!

I don't think I have ever tasted flax oil. Perhaps you can try a small amount in a smoothie/shake.

I have some flax seed oil too and it tastes horrible! Doesn't smell that great either. I was wondering what I could do with it.

@ FalconTress, LOL that's exactly what I DID use it in and you can SO taste it!!! The fruit I had in there wasn't even tastable due to the flax see oil. UGH it was so nasty!!! I drank it though cuz I didn't want it to go to waste I just had to suck it up. But you can bet I didn't make anymore!!! LOL
@ Sebastian13, Thanks, I'll go check them out!!!
@ Niqui36, hopefully we'll find something we can do with it. Don't want it to go to waste b/c I know it does some great stuff. We'll see!!

Ok, so here is some info I found on http://www.herbs2000.com/disorders/hair_problem.htm
A lot of beneficial effects are brought to hair by the use of supplements which contain many of the essential fatty acids-such herbal supplements include the oils of the flaxseed and the evening primrose herb. Hair is often very dull looking and dry without enough omega-3 fatty acids in the body, flaxseed oil contains these fatty acids in abundance-the use of these fatty acids will restore life to lifeless hair. The use of supplemental flaxseed oil will also reduce the itching and flaking from the scalp which result in dandruff. This oil can also be very useful in the treatment of eczema and psoriasis affecting the scalp. The scalp and the hair are moisturized by regular topical use of the evening primrose oil as massage oil on the scalp.

Haven't been able to find any recipes for the actual oil, but there are a few for the whole flax seed, which I don't have. But I imagine we can use the flaxseed oil the same way we would use castor or evoo or any other type. Hope these help though.

I make flax seed gel too and I love it! Guess I'll just try adding the oil to something like a shea butter whip so I can get rid of it.
