Re: How to tie a hair scarf like this
It looks more like a "pre-made" head band than a scarf that she tied, if you know what i mean.
It is super cute though.

I used to wear that style back in the day. The headband in the pic looks premade. Follow these instructions:
http://www.ehow.com/i/#article_4970754
Let's see how I can explain....if your bandana is a square, take the bottom right corner and pull it to meet the upper right corner of the bandana. This creates your triangle. From the widest part, roll it neatly until you meet your tip of the triangle. Then you have your headband. Place it on your head and you can tie a knot towards the back of your head to close it or leave the tie at the top a la Lucille Ball (I love Lucy). You can also add a flower or clip at the top. Hope I explained this well enough!

Examining the 1st headband further, after you make your headband place it around your head and hold the ends above your head. Twist both ends while you're holding them (this creates that twisted look near the top). Tie your knot at the top. Tuck the left out pieces from the knot under the headband.

why must i have to be a visual learner??? lol im confused with this part but i do appreciate you trying to explain!!! =)fleur wrote:Examining the 1st headband further, after you make your headband place it around your head and hold the ends above your head. Okay so once you have the head band all folded up, you but it around ur head as if you were going to tie it but you do what to the ends to give it a looped look?
Re: How to tie a hair scarf like this
LOL. Darn visual learners. Twist the ends of the bandana before you tie it so you can create that "looped" look. (It's very important to make sure the ends on both sides of the bandana are twisted. Visually, think of wringing a towel).
That bulge in the middle is actually just a knot. When you tie your knot, take the leftover ends and tuck them under the headband. I'm about to go and do it, then I'll post the pics, lol.

Kekesmom, you are a complete lifesaver. I didn't have a bandana, so I literally took the scarf from around my neck and twisted the exact same way as the woman in the video. The only thing I did differently was tie it at the top and tuck the ends back underneath the scarf, which gave it a donut effect.
