That awful greasy feel....

Hey guys, so I was wondering if any of you ladies have this problem. Whenever I wash I add my leave-in then I add an oil to seal like jojoba oil , then style. I try my best not to use a lot of product, but I can't seem to get rid of the "oily" "producty feel"

Do any of you ladies feel this way? and how do you deal with it?

My routine ( if it helps)

Shampoo ~ Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut Shampoo ( I can semi-detangle with this shampoo)
Condition ~ HH Totally Twisted and Pantene Moisture Rich (I combine both SUPER detangler!)
Leave-In ~ L'oreal EverPure Leave-In Conditioner
Sealer ~ Jojoba oil
Gel ~ Eco Styler or Organic Root Stimulator Lock and Twist Gel.


Sometimes I dont feel like using gel so I use a butter or creme but it feels the same.

I never liked oils in my hair. When I was relaxed, I would only use mouse to set and gloss drops to style. That was it...I never had breakage...my hair was bouncy and shiny... and my hair was bra strap length...
Now, I am also struggling with that oily feel...I stopped "sealing with oil" because most of the cream styling products already have lots of oils, so I don't understand the need to add more. I use KCKT leave in because it is not too heavy, then I will use a light styler like Fructis curl sculpting cream-gel or/and shea moisture styling product...and I have great moisture and shine...

hmm well I'll stop the sealing with oil for now and try other cremes see how it works out. I just hate the fact that whenever I lay my head down and get up, there is a blot of oil or something left behind!

I use a cream moisturizer... My hair is not greasy at all...

Cosign the qhemet!!!!! My hair just eats the stuff--lucious hair, no residue... I'm about to lose my mind because my jar's almost done!!!

AuNaturale3, sorry to hear about your problems with oi.l

I use oil and roller set my TWA. After I take the rollers out my hair is a little bit greasy, Not much.
And by the end of the day my hair is fine and I usually wear my style 3 to 4 days.
My hair loves oil (Coconut, avocado and cold pressed EVOO)

@Indigo.Blue I tried your way and it is less greasy which I love! I just put in my leave-in, shea butter/jojoba hair oil (its like a butter) and thats it! my hair is not greasy yet a bit more moisturized.

Thanks for the suggestions, I am discovering more and more how to take care of my hair.

thanks ...that’s my second time...HAD to take them out after a month... I missed my hair soooo much...

I like using Cream with a little Coconut or grape seed oil it's very light and non greasy
