Help! I just started transitioning.
I am a little scared! I dont know what I am doing right now. I have been searching and trying to figure out products to use and styles to wear. There is so much info out there is is hard to figure out where to start. My hair is very thin on the sides and I dont have the smallest head to wear a bun. I washed my hair last night with Argan shampoo and Conditioner. I used Argan oil as well. I then proceeded to plat my hair up all over. Now what do I do? I got up this morning and took it down and it a mess. I dont know how to fix it! I am very fustrated at this piont. Help! Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Help! I just started transitioning.
Hey nikki146, you are definitely in the right place. Curly Nikki's site and forum has lots of helpful tips and style tutorials to get ideas...as well as YouTube.
I think what you are using now is good. I personally started wearing my hair curly once I could no longer mask the new growth. I did Bantu Knots, Rods, and Twist Sets. I used Cantu's Leave in to do my sets and later on started using Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue.
As for the thin sides, try not to put much stress on them. To get mine straight, I used to put water and shea butter on them and tie it down for awhile.
Keep playing around with styles and eventually you will find one that works for you! Patience is key. Good luck!
