Mine was ORS Twist and Lock Gel. I used when I was transitioning and my hair loved it then. Haven't used it in about 3 months either!! My hair hates it now!!

i'm still transitioning in the very beginning i learned that parabens sulfates , silicones and mineral oil were bad for hair i got rid of everything i had or used them on my wig i had no idea what to use to moisturize or wash my hair now that i was avoiding chemicals , i went to a dry hair phased until i found out water could moisturized , my first store brought product was Olive oil , shea butter and Bioinfusion product line lol

Kinky curly curling custard! Why? Because I dint know then that all my hair needed was a good leave in and a drink of water.

My first product as a natural was Carol's Daughter Hair Milk, Mimosa Hair Honey and Healthy Hair Balm. This was in 2002 when the products seemed different...

My first was Cantu Shea Butter leave-in. Why? Because it was mentioned a lot on YouTube. Very Happy

well i used it wrong when i first tried it after my BC..I thought it was a moisturizer BUT shea butter is a sealant and should be applied after you applied you leave in and moisturizer..shea butter acts as a creamy sealant and seals all that moisture in your hair..

I stop using shea butter for a looooong time because i thought it was breaking me out!! but it wasnt actually it was my greasy pillow that was being saturated with shea butter and oils that was breaking me out..sooo now i was my pillowcase more often..

but yea anyways to answer your question (went all of topic on ya lol) shea butter is alright..its no qhemets AOHC (thats my baby!) but Im using it now to because i ran out of qhemets and it does the job..I use it when i twist and it keeps my hair soft and defined
