Re: A Letter to My Hair
I subscribed to your youtube vids. I LOVE your hair, it's so pretty!!! Do you have your regimen on there anywhere?? I know everyone's reg may not work for others but I'm just interested to see what you use.
Re: A Letter to My Hair
Thanks for subbing, girl I will tell you right now. I use coconut oil. that is it. I may co wash w/ curly herbal essence twice a month, but nothing more now I did use a heat protestant to straighten it, and that's on my channel w/ Mary's vid. but I don't straighten it often. and I deep condition no more then once a month. since i went no poo, my hair doesn't need too much, and since i don't use a lot of product I don't have build up issues!

Re: A Letter to My Hair
Hi, jd12! I have been following your YT channel for at least 2 months now and I love it! Your hair is gorgeous!!!
I wish I could get away with only using coconut oil on my hair...I'd be a big, frizzy mess!

Re: A Letter to My Hair
jd12, You know, that's all I was using on my hair before too. But you don't use any moisturizer??? When I was using just the coconut oil, that was LONG before I found CN. So now I have been using more moisturizers like Cantu Shea Leave-In and I like that. But then I use either the coconut oil, jojoba or hot six oil to seal. How long have you been natural???
Re: A Letter to My Hair
@ Takeya, Thank you so much!! How long have you been natural? did you do a bc?
@ Misskris, yep! just coconut, no moisturizer. I'm planning on trying new things here and there. But not for any real reason. You know, I wanna try Kimmaytube's conditioner set, that sounds wonderful, I'm going to let my hair grow out as much as possible then cut it. so that may be a nice helping aid.

Re: A Letter to My Hair
I have been natural for 3 years but only learning to care for my hair over the past year or so. I didn't BC and only recently trimmed off the last of my uncooperative ends.
When I was relaxed, I would often wash-n-go in the summer and my hair was always curly. I noticed that after being curly all summer, my hair would grow long but as soon as I started relaxing again, it would break off and never grew longer than my shoulders. So after my last relaxer in the summer of '07, I just didn't get another one. I wanted to see how long my hair would grow...it's just past BSL (stretched) now.
I learned so much from CN, MoptopMaven, and NaturallyCurly then turned to YT for tutorials and styling ideas. I stumbled on your channel through someone else's (can't remember whose) and now I check it at least twice a week for updates.
I'm getting ready to straighten my hair for the first time in over a year so I'll be watching your video again for tips!
Sorry for the long HAIRstory...

Re: A Letter to My Hair
@ MissKriss, IDK I just need to. I've tired explaining it to my fam but everyone looks at me like I'm nuts lol, maybe I am but at least I'm happy.
@Takeya, No sorry-s! I love hearing stories! And yours is pretty cool, congrats on being 3 years in! My sister didn't bc either, she kept it straight till she wanted to cut her ends.
Will you post you recently straight hair pics anywhere?
Let me know how it goes, ok?
