Thank you so much KNH. My twists parts do not look neat enough to wear as is.... . I don't have the time or patience for something like that . Maybe once I get some more length, I will try that style.

GOOD MORNING DOLLS:

I want to start this morning post by giving a huge shout out to KEISHAMAC. She finally BC, a little eariler than she planned (may I add). And she looks wonderful.

I also want to report this is my 7th day since I BC . So I am a whole week old natural . And it feels good.

Today my hair is in a puff. Yes my first puff. I didn't plan it this way, but that braid n curl was not giving me 2nd day hair...... .
I will post pics later.

I received an odd compliment yesterday on the braid n curl style. The only other AA that works in my department walked up to me and said "you cut it off". I said "yes. This is all me". She stated she liked it. Then waved her hands to show me without saying, it's a poofy . I said "yes, that is what our hair does." The she touched it and said "Oh, it's soft." I said "yes, does it look hard. Or is that something we all think when we see natural hair". She just laughed and said "no it doesn't look hard but yeah you think of brillo pad." I said "well no, with the right products and care your hair can be soft too." She gave me a "I don't think so" look and said "good for YOU. You look different". I said "different good or bad?" She said "I like it. I am just use to seeing you with hair hanging down. But it should grow nice." I said "yeah, of course it will grow ."

Yes it was nice of her and I did accept her compliment. It's just I knew where she was coming from since my transition. She would make all these statements and give these looks because she is so uninformed and so unwilling to learn more. But she was always nice about it. And may I add she has a perm that is thinning out her hair and balding a little in the crown. So I really wanted to show her what natural hair looks like and can do. She ain't seen nothing yet .

Tia....you will get hate cause you've got mad hair that looks better than relaxed hair!!! But like my pastor says "shake those haters off" Ladies!!!

Oooh very cute!!! I like the puff. I think this should be a mainstay for this length...keep it in rotation. Also, thank you very much for the shout out...I feel so honored that you would even mention me in your post. Well, I see that we did follow BBD in chopping, so I am glad that I had some beautiful strong ladies to convince me to do the same. I think I may post some close up pics of my hair tomorrow. I am in a DC challenge on nc.com, so I need to get one in early in the week. I hope you are having a wonderful work day, cause Lord knows you're having a wonderful hair day!!
