I'd love to know what products you've used that didn't work and ones you have used/use that work well in your hair. Looks like we have the same hair type/texture--4a?

Some Grades for SOME of the Products I've Tried:

All Qhemet products except the Heavy Cream - A

Crown Essentials - C+

Curls - C-

Oyin - C+

Coconut Oil - A

Castor Oil - A

EO Conditioners - A-

Suave - F

Herbal Essence - D+

Trader Joe's Tea Tree Conditioner - A

Aussie - C-

I could go on, but y'all get the picture! My hair is SUPER dry, loses moisture quickly (dry climate) and doesn't curl up unless I use coconut oil in my conditioners. I cowash everyday; I have to, otherwise I'd look like Gumby.

You've used a lot of products. I keep my product list to a minimum, because I'm on a budget and I just use what my hair agrees with.

Right now:
Shampoo: Giovanni Tea Tree
Conditioner: HE Hello Hydration, Garnier Sleek & Shine, or Suave Coconut
Sealant: Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter
Moisture Spritz: Water, EVOO, Conditioner, Jojoba, Castor, Glycerin, and fragrance (warm vanilla)

My hair has really maintained well with these products. When I first BC'd, I did daily wash and gos with Suave Cocount and my spritz. Worked beautifully.

I can't live without...

coconut oil...I use it to oil my hair before washing, as a conditioner, and throughout the week to help keep my hair moisturized...I've been using it for over a year and it'll be part of my haircare for life.

taliah waajid protective mist bodifier...it is the most perfect detangler/moisturizer/styler...I love that it meets all my needs and I don't have to use a bunch of different products to do my hair.

I can't live without KCCC-it is my favorite product for the "wet" look. Everything else is interchangeable, but KCCC is unmatched. I also can't live without my wide-tooth comb.

I can't live without my Garnier Fructis Leave-in Conditioner !

It leaves my hair soft & curly without weighing it down. I definitley would recommend it to anyone searching for a good leave-in conditioner. Give it a try !

Shea butter and henna, simply because my people have been using this for ages, by the way if you live in NYC, take a trip to Little Senegal / 116th street and you will find the best and least expensive shea butter and huge bags of pure henna for like 5 bucks!
Coconut Oil
Jane Carter Solution shampoo
HE TT condish
Giovanni 50/50 condish
still looking for the perfect deep conditioner...
