Best hair day of my NATURAL LIFE

So today is hands down the best hair day of my natural life! I wish I would had a better camera, but it's ok. I never ever had AWESOME hair on day 1. I just had 2 share a pic!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I have literally NO frizz, and all my lovely 4As are so defined!

Hmmm, well I did some of the usual, and something a little different. As usual I washed with Dr. Bronner's, condish'd with Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle. Blotted, then rubbed in some shea butter and sectioned off my hair into about 8 parts. Then I rubbed my homemade flax seed gel into each section. My bangs fell on their own. Then I pulled the back into a high puff and a low puff while I drove to school. Once I got to school I took them down and shook them out. My hair was dry in like 2 hours When I use KCCC it takes about 6 hours for my hair to dry. I am sooooooooooo pleased!!!!

Your hair looks very nice. I have been contemplating about making the flax seed gel. It appears that it really gets the job done better than AV gel (which doesn't do much for my hair). Is it difficult to make, does it give decent hold without the crunch, and how do you store? Sorry for the questionnaire

AV gel didn't do much for my hair either. And I find that it works better and is far less crunchy than KCCC. Here is how I make it: 2 cups of water, 3 tbsp flax seed gel, and 2 tbsp coconut oil. Bring to a low/medium boil for about 5 minutes. After it cools, I strain it and pour it into an old AV gel bottle. Store in the fridge. After I use it, the gel has to go right back into the fridge. This last about 3 weeks. With a little shea butter underneath, I have ZERO crunch. I'm loving it!

@naturalnolagirl1900 I think my ratios are a little different, and I add coconut oil to the mix.

Your hair is gorgeous! I always have frizz on Day 1, or my hair isn't "big" enough. Yours is the perfect balance. Thanks for sharing how you did it!

Update:

Day 2, I sprayed my hair w/ a little water and did my 2 puffs again while getting the kids off to school. I took my hair down and shook it out when I got back home about an hour later. The results are even better! My hair was dry in less than an hour, bigger than yesterday and I have more movement in my dry hair! Still frizz free too!

Yay for frizzfree! I've had the same results lately too (not completely frizz free tho but better). Gotta love when you have good hair days.
