In honor of Thanksgiving Empty Re: In honor of Thanksgiving

Post by nmoultry 24th November 2009, 11:16 am

I second the putting a twist on an old tradition. I'm also thankful that I no longer have to sit in a hair salon for hours waiting on slow stylists. Even though I just BC'd in July, I'm amazed at the things I've learned from researching hair. My New Years Resolution is to take money I would've spent bi-weekly at the salon in a bank account and watch it grow like my hair. I can't wait. I would've done it in July but I invested in a steamer....

Chunky twist outs. Next to a wash-n-go, it's the quickest style I can do.

I'm thankful that I don't spend $200 on 2 wigs and some hair lotion at Beauty World. < that was the lady in line in front of me and the wig she had on looked like a hot mess. I spent $6 and my hair will be fly.

I am thankful for the countless number of women before me that decided not to be consumed by a lie and for showing me another way...[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] to care for MY hair. I am thankful for learning the names of the ingredients that are good and bad for my hair... EVERY product that I used in the past were NO good for caring for my natural hair texture!!!
