Stop playing with your hair! Take the pledge.

Ok, so I henna'd yesterday and my hair fells so much thicker already. I still don't know if I wanna henna my 4 year old who has very fine 4a hair. my hair is 2c.3a.

anyway, i'm rambling lemme stop... I refuse to play with my hair from here on out! I have done that for YEARS of my adult life. And no more. I'm done. I have very bad hair. It's not shiny, it's brittle, split ends, it doesnt' grow fast etc. I'm sure ALL because i play with my hair constantly and i don't give it the respect it deserves. I take lots of vitamins etc and eat pretty healthy. There is no reason why I shouldn't have 'good healthy hair'. This is my pledge. Do you play with your hair also? Will you take the pledge too?

YES! My words exactly, I find myself playing with my hair all the time. Recently I have been braiding it and sewing in extensions which has kinda of helped. But I still have some hair around my edges that is in hands reach, and I still go at it! My last releaxer was on December 10, 2009 so I'm coming up on a milestone and I haven't reach the lenght that I anticipated so...

I will definetly pledge to that!

OOO, no playing in my hair???When I play in my hair, I can tell when it needs moisture, protein or to be left alone. I'll think about it, though.

I agree 100% I play in my HAIR ALL The TIME!

Its apart of the Hand In Hair (H.I.H) syndrome and if its done in excess it can break your hair off. I used to be that way, but I had to start wearing my hair in more protective styles to prevent me playing in it WAYYY too much.

i did play in my hair alot whenever i first bc'd or whatever, but i don't touch it as much...the only time i really touch it is maybe before i go to bed when i condition it or if i wet it in the shower lol and i noticed mayb a couple cenimeters of growth, but ATLEAST IT GREW!!! lol

I'm getting better at not playing in my hair. If i cath myself doing it I try to pick up a pen or somthing to distract me. However, Atlanta traffic will have you twirling your hair for real!!!!
