got dmn jlo...did u get a raise or something???? let me know how u use the UD smoke out pencil cuz the blending side feels like concrete and the liner side is nooowhere near as smooth as the gliders

I WISH! & Ooooh noooo about the smoke out pencils. I dont need concrete rubbing against my eyes lol I'll def keep ya posted though. I cant wait to get the gliders. I've heard nothing but good things about them. I cant wait to use them as liner under my neutral looks. I love the neutral with a pop of color look...

@jlow - you've been having having fun with the makeup (lol).
Ladies I've also seen some people using the sponge tip applicators to pack the eyeshadow on.

@KNH - whenever you decide to purchase any MAC brushes in my opinion the only ones you really need are the two blending brushes which are the 224 and the 217 brushes. They really help to blend but the other ones can easily be substituted by cheaper brushes.

I know that's why I haven't bought any yet....I am using some I have from Mary Kay (which are too soft but a couple really work for me) and the other by Sonka (sp) that I got from target. I do have one MAC brush I think its 190 (foundation brush) but I will so hold off and look for substitutes!!! Yes ma'am don't want to pay $20 or more for a brush, but they sure feel good...LOL

I was watching this drag-queen--Yall know, I love RU!! The you tube guy's make up tutorials are so informational. Used him as my guide because, I have alot (scarring) to cover up because of a car accident.

I need to get some kind of organization going on. The makeup bags arent gonna work anymore. lol...Im trying to replace my ELF brushes. They are decent but I want something with a little more quality but not the prices like MAC brushes. All the brushes I got were $9 excluding the kabuki, it was $16 which is not bad at all!

So, after church I decided to go to Ulta because I had a 20% off coupon, and I bought a couple of things. I bought this BrowDuality by Anastasia and a lipstick by NYX. I didn't realize that Anastasia specializes in eyebrows and this dual highlighter pencil is the bomb!!!! (I've tried it since I've been home couldn't resist) Now the NYX lipstick I bought was only $4.99...I was looking for a nude lipstick and I got this color IRIS #501. I kinda like it!!! It looks nube, but I don't know...check it out and let me know what y'all think. (not a fancy picture at home chillin watching Madea Big Happy Family, washing clothes and playing with my make-up)

I remember Dva asking questions about highlighting under her brows, and this dual highlighter pencil is perfect for that!!

Sorry for such a long post y'all. I've decided that I'm going to try to do make-up on a budget. I want to try different colors and different things, so I'll be looking for sales, hitting the BSS and doing some online shopping for bargins!! Oh I did look for UD's Naked Palette at Ulta, and they've been sold out for two months.

I loooove Petrilude. I've been subscribed to him for a couple months. The man can do some makeup, even better than some women I've seen. His special effects stuff is amazing as well. Its so interesting looking at his process from start to finish.

love the highlights on the inner corner, reminds me of the past work of putting the white color in the "tear duct" (did i get that right, lol) not bad for a first timer! now all u gotta do is add some eyeliner to make them eyes pop!!

ive heard of ana years ago but i clearly didnt care about my browz, she has her own brow salon in NY too but im SURE it cost about $50 for a shape or tweeze! so im gonna work on my browz more often n the first thing i wanna do is learn to highlight...so tell me how YOU do it????

Y'all have been busy over here! Everyone's make-up looks beautiful! I'm glad that some of the lurkers have started to post! I will make a more concentrated effort to post on here more. I'm starting to get back into wearing make-up daily (mascara, shadow lip gloss) and when me and the GF go out.

Right now I need to clean out my personal make-up kit as well as my pro kit. I have too much OLD make-up and some dupes that I want to get rid of. Product wise I am looking for sheer coverage liquid and powder mineral foundation, translucent powder/oil absorbing powder for everyday, to replace my Ben Nye Lumiere palette, and get some more concealer. All this is for my personal use. My pro kit needs: more foundations, a 2nd set of brushes, translucent powder, blotting papers, more blushes.

Newest FAV purchases: UD Naked Palette and Maybelline Falsies mascara. I also purchased two new nude lipsticks from Sephora: Dolce Nude and Innocent Beige.
