I know my hair is growing but seeing the side by side comparison made me say WOW! I just wanted to share it.

I think because we are always looking at our hair we don't see te growth until we do a comparison shot.

LuvMeLuvMyFro,
You are right! That's why it's so important to take pics. I have to do better with take pics of my hair.

Wow! I just take random photos, but I never compare. I'm going to try though. Do you take vitamins Lynnieluvue?

MaameYaa,
I take the Women's One a day vitamin (orange box) but I just started back taking them this week. I stopped for about a month.
You should do a comparison pic wearing the same style. You will probably be as surprised as I was.

speakin of, lynnie give me some tips on how u keep ur comb coils up; i cant wait to get enuff length to rock the coils so hopefully by next month i can get some!

Re: I just wanted to share...
NubieNattytwn-kisha, I am rocking a twist out in both pics. I usually wear my two strand twist 2-3 days, then I wear a twist out 2-3 days.
My twist dont look that great because a lot of them tend to curl up but I rock 'em anyway. My twist out last longer when I use ORS Twist and Lock gel.
I tie my twist down at night and wear my bonnet for the twist out. In the morning I just spray/mist my hair with water or my spritz (water/veggie glycerin) - Shout out to MahoganyCurls for this tip. I dont touch it. Manipulating the hair will cause frizzies.
Natural hair is SO AMAZING! When I spray my bed head hair, within about 5 minutes, it just blossoms back to life.
I may lift the roots to give it more volume but that's it. Slick down my "baby" hair and I'm done.
HTH!

Re: I just wanted to share...
NubieNatty,
I think I have all the textures in my head!
My left side -4a
The top - 3C with lots of frizz
The right side- 4b/4c
The nape in the middle - soft and thin like baby hair
I am getting to a place where I am like, "What every hair! Do what you do!" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: I just wanted to share...
WOW Lynnieluve! Beautiful!
Speaking of ... at the moment I am trying to convince my bestie not to perm again. I'm trying to get her to join the forum, but she's so dang stubborn. LOL
Well, she recently BC'd (2 months ago) and her hair is not really responding the way she hoped it would I guess (I LOVE it tho). I transitioned, so I never had a TWA, and I really don't have any styling advice, and she also has a drying issue. What works for me is not really working for her... what would you suggest?
Once again, LOVELY!

Thanks Char, Sweetdrk & CarlsM!!!
@ Sweetdrk - Cool! It's always good to find someone who BC'd around the same time.
@ CarlsM - I'm sorry your BFF is having a hard time. What saved me from a haircut was oil rinses. My ends feel dry and crispy. I was about to cut them off until I read on my other favorite blog (newlynatural.com) about doing a oil rinse.
I do the oil rinse everytime I wash, whether is be co wash or shampoo. If I co wash - I wet my hair first then I add olive oil to my hair. Then I put the conditioner on top of the oil and proceed to wash. When I use shampoo (sulfate free), I shampoo first and rinse, then I add the olive oil and rinse out conditioner on top of that and proceed to wash.
I also spritz/mist my hair several times a day. My hubby talks about me all the time, he's like,"There you go with that spray!!!" LOL!!
My homemade spritzs contain water/veggie glycerin and the other one has water, conditioner and just a little bit of olive oil - havent used this one in awhile. I also use plain water.
I hope this helps you friend. I also have a fotki album with a few more pics. www.fotki.com/lynnieluve
