The first two ingredients are used when formulating your own products. They can be used in hair and skin products. Optiphen is a pretty good paraben and formaldehyde free preservation for mixtures with oil and water based ingredients. BTMS is a conditioning agent used to get oil and water based ingredients to mix and hold together. Its good when you don't want an oily feeling product. Add it in the oil phase when formulating products.
BTMS (conditioning agent/emulsifier)
Optiphen (paraben-free preservative)
