Oprah is ending her show!

I just got news from CNN that Oprah announced she's ending her show on Sept. 9, 2011! I don't know about you all but I love Oprah. My husband may be happy that there will be more space freed up on the DVR though lol!
Well we got CurlyNikki on Tyra, I wonder if we can get her on Oprah before then?!

what?!?!?!?!?! nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! i know all good things must come to an end, but not this soon! what she gonna do after that??

OMG!!! I am not famous yet! I have yet to appear on the show! In all seriousness, I just told my best friend that we should go to a taping next year!

well, Oprah has handed off the reins to TYRA. Good for Tyra. But I will miss Oprah.

apparently, she will announce live tomorrow morning (10am EST). she did sign an extension for the show a couple of years that would end the show sometime next year. another interesting tidbit: The Discovery Health Channel was renamed OWN. OWN stands for Oprah Winfrey Network. I love it!!!!

I heard the news earlier and could not believe it, although I did read somewhere just the other day (actually I think it was on bossip.com) where the production company wasn't going to be able to pay her as much anymore because of cutbacks, or something of that sort, so maybe (I don't know) that has something to do with it. Whatever the case is, I really hate that! I wonder what she has up her sleeve next??? Maaan, that means I have now until 2011 to try to see a live taping! LOLOL!

Oprah was supossed to be foreverrrrrrrrr!!!!! LOL!

I just automatically assumed Oprah would be on TV forever... just like I assume MJ would live and dance forever... I was supposed to be featured on Oprah for some reason I havent figured out yet...

lmaoooo too funny cuz i said the SAME THING "i gotta get on oprah" now i say, she cant leave til my son is featured on her kid genius episodes, lol. i think she's trickin us cuz she startin her own network! woooow thats huge to have ur own network.

LOL.... oprah is not going anywhere. she doesn't need her show anymore. she can pass her mic to Tyra and still make money in all other ways.... of course it wont be the same but she wont be gone... we still have Oxygen, O magazine, The Oprah sirius channel... she is a household name!

Wow that is exactly what i said in my head. First MJ's gone, now Oprah won't be on TV everyday..... what do I have left to hold on to from my TV Childhood? lol I certainly don't want today's "entertainers" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .

True she's not truly going to be not working with all the other things she has in place. But it sure will be something to get used to to not be able to tune into her show. I'm gonna try to get tix! I bet it's going to be even harder now!

Awwww...just watched Oprah and she announced it at the end of the show! Poor thing...she started crying! I still can't believe it!
