I bc'ed~woo-hoo!
Hello Ladies,
I finally took the plunge and big chopped last Wednesday (6/30/10). I originally started this journey planning to be a long term transtioner because as a busy mom of 4, I couldn't imagine not being able to throw my hair in a bun. However, as I watched Curlsgalore's slide show of her first year being natural, I started thinking that maybe I would miss out on some of the growth phases/changes that come with learning natural hair. I knew I would miss my hair, but I also felt like I would miss out on the twa and being able to wash & go, so I mustered up the courage and started chopping!
I has been a week since my bc and I'm still trying to firgure out products and techniques. I have been cutting little strands here and there everyday because I keep seeing stick straight permed ends in the front and middle of my head. It has also taken a week for me to get used to the hair cut. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either (I always felt this way after a new cut with permed hair too). But as each day passes, I am falling more in love with my hair.
