Re: Dajewel's Hair Challenge^_^
here are the pics!! these are pics of my three day twist out. i can keep a twist out for at least a week because i don't really separate the twists as much. i plan to co-wash and retwist on saturday:
i preserve my twist out by put into bantu knots. works like a charm every time!
the last pic is a good example of why i constantly have HIR disease!

Re: Dajewel's Hair Challenge^_^
so, here is another update: i found some really cute (and mad cheap) hair candy at F21 a couple of weeks back. It was like I was in hair candy heaven cuz they had MOUNDS AND MORE MOUNDS of head bands!!!!! and each headband was about $2.50 to $4.50. I loaded up on a total of 5. Will post pics of them, but here is a quick pic of one of the mountains of headbands at F21!

Your hair looks full and thick . I never thought of putting hair in bantu knots to preserve an out style. I will have to try that.

Re: Dajewel's Hair Challenge^_^
hope all is having a wonderful holiday!! these are more pics of my hair during the week that the twists were out (last week). i plan on just wearing my hair in twists for the majority of a month, and then letting my hair out for a week.
the reasons am doing this are:
1)less manipulation=more growth
2)keeps them pesky one strand knots at bay
3)keeps me from playing in my hair
4) playing in the hair + working w/chemicals in the lab=bad combo for proper product quality assurance and hair damage
5) keeps hair moisturized
6)protects hair
7) am just pure lazy when doing my hair. i just do the bare minimum in keeping hair moisturized and sealed

don't worry!!! your hair will get longer and thicker in no time!! i am looking for picks from a year or two ago so that you can see the difference, but don't know if the picks are a true representation cuz they just show my hair in two strand twists and no fro. you and your hair are on the right track!! i adore your curls!!

lynnieluve, love the hair!!! its REALLY growing!!
as far as hair candy from F21, i purchased about 5 frilly, colorful headbands. i prolly won't wear them for another month cuz tonight is co-wash/dc hair night. i will post a pic of my hair candy finds shortly.

Re: Dajewel's Hair Challenge^_^
Thanks! Yes it is growing.
My hair loved being deep conditioned with olive oil and coconut oil. I think this will be my staple deep conditioner because the store deep conditioners dont do a thing for my hair.
I need to start getting me some hair candy. I am not really big on hair accessories.

I think I will either wash my hair wednesday or saturday and I definitely plan to try your olive oil and coconut oil deep condition. I hope my hair loves it as much as yours does. You have beautiful hair.

thank you, Bindy, Adiaha, Freestyles and HumanNature!!! I really appreciate your compliments!!!! compliments make me feel warm and fuzzy!!!
Here is another pic from last week. I really do believe this pic doesn't do the style justice. The hair was really big in the beginning of the day, but i guess the shopping and hanging with the family made it look flatter. i was trying to achieve a side frohawk look. it really worked because it made my hair looked even more bigger. i even got compliments while i was out and about!!
