Re: Me & Mandy
I'm like you and lynnieluve--trying not to buy anything until next year. I have so many conditioners and oils I have not even opened it's crazy. You are making it hard with results from Qhemet's.
I know how to cornrow but trying to figure out how to get the very edge to look like the rest (not sure if that makes sense). My cornrow usually starts looking good at about a few mm from edge.

Re: Me & Mandy
I can cornrow, but I haven't learned how to do it on my OWN hair yet..there are a bunch of good vids on you-tube.

Re: Me & Mandy
OKAYY! Its finally the weekend for me!
Ok so my review of Qhemet Biologics
Products used: Alma& Olive Heavy Cream
Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm
Cocoa Detangling Ghee (?) Hope this is right im too lazy to go get the containers! lol
Ok so i twisted freshly washed hair with the Alma & Olive cream/Olive & honey balm as mentioned in previous post and my twist were bouncy and sooooft ..they were also "chubby" which i loved!
So because the olive & honey has a very soft hold my twist were fuzzy by the end of the week...so saturday I wore a puff and applied jel to my edges which left my hair so dry!
ok so sat night i used the Cocoa detangler and OMG im soooo impressed! That stuff was like a hot knife on butter! It instantly melted all the tangles away..it performed this on DRY AS HELL hair and left it soooo moisturized as if i wet my hair!
now if ur more of a fined hair curly i wouldnt suggest it bc it may leave ur hair heavy and too oily but curlies with my hair type will absolutely love it!
I want some more of that stuff..this is a pic of my hair from the chunky dry teist last nite
excuse the face..i tend to look like a sad mouse when i concentrate!
So the Final Verdict is:
Pros:
Very moisturizing
Soft hold (plus i didnt retwist at night so this may play a part)
a little goes a long way
leaves hair bouncy and shiny
Cons:
The store is always closed
not a strong hold so hair may frizz quickly
That cocoa ghee will be my staple fo sho!

Now I have to get some! Why did you have to give a review like this? LOL!!! My hubby asked me what I wanted for Christmas...would I be wrong to say Qhemet Biologics?

Re: Me & Mandy
Cute!
Maybe you can try the honeybush gel and see if you get a little more hold with that? Or even a little bit of Eco Styler? It should still dry soft if you use Qhemet underneath it, I think.
Do you re-twist at night? Maybe you could also get it to last longer by re-twisting every other night. I have to re-twist (smaller than when I originally style my hair) every night or else co-wash in the middle of the week.

I don't know, I haven't tried it. It's on my list of things to try when I run out of AOHC. But, I've heard good things about it. You can probably just use a little Eco Styler or whatever gel you have and see if that makes them stay longer. I think I'm going to try that next time and see what happens.

I think the coils look fabulous on you!!! I did it on my hair once and I didn't like it that much. But after seeing you and Pinkrage, I'm going to try it again. Maybe I'll do it on Sunday...
