SheaMoisture-Target Brand?

I didnt know it was a Target brand but I did know it was not the same as the other Shea Moisture leave in.

I think SheaMoisture hair care line is just exclusively sold at Target. When I purchased the products at Target, I read about the blurb about the two brothers that started the company based on their grandmother's recipes. If you go to the SheaMoisture website, you can no longer purchase hair care items, but you are able to purchase the body products.

you can purchase though amazon who fills the order through a 3rd party.

Shea Moisture is an independent company/brand sold at Target.

I'm pretty sure I've seen SheaMoisture products at The Vitamin Shoppe as well. When I saw them at Target I recognized the packaging from seeing it elsewhere first...but I can't find it online at the VS.

Well I am not sure, but I am so happy that Target carries the brand. I never got to try the original SM leave in that everyone was raving about years ago, but during my last visit to Target I had a habitual PJ moment and purchased the SM coconut & hibiscus hair milk and the coconut & hibiscus moisture mist, can I just say...... LUV it!

Shea Moisture and Nubian Heritage are the same company, just branded differently (kinda like Banana Republic, GAP, and Old Navy). Just like the CURLs brand has introduced a line of hair care products for Target, so has Shea Moisture/Nubian Heritage. The leave-in or rinse out conditioner sold @ Target is different from the famed Shea Moisture leave-in that can be purchased @ some BSS and online. The Shampoos are different too. The ones @ Target use a gentler surfactant to cleanse (decyl glucoside) while the regular Shea Moisture line uses Sodium Laurel Sulfate.

P.s. Vitamin Shoppe carries Nubian Heritage soaps. Looks just like Shea Moisture, only a different brand name

Thanks for clearing things up ladies. I was soooo confused when I went to Target looking for the famed Shea moisture leave-in and only found the SheaMoisture hibiscus.... I would like to try both, problem is I can't seem to find the Shea moisture leave-in anywhere. I'd hate to pay shipping prices, but looks like I might have too.
