11 months post relaxer

Quick update. So I am going to hit the 11 month post relaxer mark in about a week. I am so tired of having to do my hair ever 2 days (that's how long ALL STYLES LAST 4 ME) that I had a friend put kinky twist in for me. I am soooooo thankful for the break. I know for a fact that I am going to keep the kinky twist for 4 weeks, 6 weeks if I can make it. The plan is to have about 2 week in between each set of kinky twist, and trying to do the twist 3x. After that, I am not sure I will make it to 18 months, I may just do my BC. That should make my BC around 16 months. I am so ready 2 cut, I just have never been a big fan of short hair on ME. I've been wanting to try kinky twists for a while, how long did they take to put in?

Ummm, my friend was out of practice, so over 3 days (keep in mind my schedule is busy - single mom of 2, full time college student) it took about 8 or 9 hours total. I am very happy with the results. I *almost* have a break from hair except my daughter is 6 years old and has natural hair half way down her back. So I just washed her hair and am about 2 start her twist out. My son is 9 and i give him a buzz on a #1 ever other weekend. I grew out his hair awhile back, but my Xhusband shaved him completely (he's not a fan of natural hair at all).

My kinky twists took about 4-6 hours to do, and that included washing and blowdrying my hair.

Wow that's really quick! How many packs of hair did you use?

I used 3 packs of hair...they were $8.99 a pack I believe
