What brands of coconut oil and shea butter do you recommend. I've never used any of these products, but I have heard so many naturals and transitioners rave about them.

I would prefer if the coconut oil brand is extra virgin/organic btw [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .

You could look here for Shea Butter: http://www.sheaessentials.com/

As for coconut oil, I use Palmer's, but it's not organic/natural. Good luck hunting, just look around, I'm sure you could find something to try though.

I haven't purchased anything from here (www.butters-n-bars.com), but I know CN and many others have. The site has organic oils and shea butter. I do plan on getting some things from there soon though.

I've been using Vatika hair oil which has coconut, amla, henna and lemon oil. I love it because it makes my hair shiny, but not greasy. I bought it at a local Indian store, but butters-n-bars has it. I also ordered the shea butter from b-n-b which I like. It took me about 5 days to receive my order. HTH.

I buy Nutiva extra virgin coconut oil from my local health food store, but I've also seen it on Amazon (might actually be cheaper there), and so far I've gotten my shea butter from butters-n-bars. I would recommend being careful with the coconut oil, I personally can't use too much or use it too close to my scalp because it makes my head smell like a rancid coconut. But I absolutely LOVE it in moderation, it makes your hair super soft/shiny

Check your local Vitamin Hut/store. I know mine has a large bottle of organic extra virgin coconut oil. IDR the price because i haven't bought it in a while but it was worth it. It lasted for months!

Someone else said that EVCO was in Wal Mart in the Vitamin section...
