Leave-in Conditioners Empty Leave-in Conditioners

Post by bholmes87 2nd May 2010, 10:56 pm

I am on the search for some great leave-in conditioners to try!! I have found quite a few conditioners that work for co-washes and wash-n-goes but I want to find an awesome leave in now.

So please please share what has worked for you! If you have recipes that have worked or combinations of products, do tell. I'm curious as to what you guys leave in your hair Laughing

Smooth As Silk is my staple DC...I mix mine with a little honey and leave it in my hair for an hour or more! It's sooo moisturizing and divine- my hair LOVES it!

Direct leave-in is awesome, I use it everyday [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Giovanni SAS is awesome!!!

Leave in, I mix HE HH, aloe vera juice, castor, vitamin E, jojoba, and sweet almond oils and put it under my shea butter. Amazing softness, shine, and volume!

Bholmes...I like the Shea Moisture Conditioning Milk. I'm using it in the 30-day product challenge. So far, I like it. I've used it with a wash n' go, as well as before braiding/twisting. It's been working for me...moisturized, but not greasy.

I give this product a Thumbs UP!

I reeeeally like the Giovanni Direct Leave-In! I just started using it about 2 weeks ago...and yes the Smooth As Silk is the bomb also! I've only used it as a deep conditioner though. I purchased the two together at ULTA because they had a buy one, get one half off on all Giovanni products recently. So I was super happy to get a deal! But yes, both of these are "must-try products"!!!!!!

For those of you using Giovanni Direct Leave-in, how are you using it? What are you using it under? Is it for twist outs or on wash'n'gos. I just bought some when it was on sale and I'm not sure about. It definitely gives me those white balls that disapates, but I don't like the look of it. I was actually thinking of using it by itself for a wash'n'go but just went with my old faithful Tresseme. My friend is using it under her KCCC and she loves it.

Cantu Shea: no products after it though(for good moisture & style sets)
Creme of Nature Style & Fortify(looooooooove this stuff gives me the softest smoothest hair. And if I put it in and brush it through my hair doesnt shrink and get all dry frizzyish. Love it. I love you

I use it for my wNgs. I just wet my hair and add a little leave-in, but I can't use too much or my hair turns white [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . I would say its pretty moisturizing on its own, but sometimes I add a little Karen's Hair Milk on top.

Hey Agore gave me the tip of making a leave in spritz which includes the knot today. I love it and that's one way to stretch it.

Its in stores on the East Coast. And you know us West Coast folks get no natural hair care love ha haha. That's why I stick to stuff I can eat ha haha

I think you can order it online. When we first heard about it it was out of stock for almost 9 months. By then we had started using other stuff. I'm considering ordering this now.

Yea I was gonna order it. But I'd hate to pay shipping and handling for something that's just 9.99 What website were you thinking of ordering from?
