Here's what I do:

Braid, twist, on wet (or sometimes dry) hair using shea or amla. LOVE the braidout,
but when I sleep on it it frizzes into a big mess over night!!!! How do
you guys make them last for days. Step by step please?! Thx!!!!

I originally posted this in another forum...and realized I should have posted it here

Braiding on wet hair gives you better definition. I braid on wet hair and use either Afroveda Shea Amla or Qhemets Amla and Olive Heavy Cream. I rebraid every other night. Before I rebraid I use a leave-in or some other type of moisturizer on my hair and the braids are bigger than the first day I do them and sleep with a silk scarf or bonnet. On the nights I don't rebraid I just fluff in the morning. I can ususally stretch mine for four days before starting over again.

Put the hair in a loose, high ponytail each night. That pretty much sums it up for us. Bonnet/satin pillowcase is great if you have one, if not that's fine too. Moisturize daily.

Hair lotion or hair milk is a really good braidout refresher. Just rub a bit on your palms and rub through hair.

Thanx!!!! I used my satin bonnet and I think it is part of the reason my hair gets frizzy because I sweat in my sleep. I think it becomes a heat cap! I will try pinning it up and the lotion.
