New to curly nikki Empty New to curly nikki

Hey everyone, I'm new here, but like most before me have been lurking on the blog and shadows, even before I started transitioning. My last relaxer was Oct. 23rd and I'm currently rocking a short bob/wavy sew in. this is my first sew in experience, but I didn't want to be trying to straighten my hair while growing it. I like it, but it's not curly enough for me so next time I'll buy curlier hair.

Transitioning was easy the first three months because my hair was still controllable, month four became a hassle, trying to straighten and wrap my hair and relaxed hair is super straight and non relaxed hair...isn't, so I joined the world of weave. Lately I've been obsessed with wanting the long curly hair that I see on so many other naturals and I wonder how they did it and how they manage to keep heat out of their head, but hopefully being weaved up will help me with that. Curly Nikki and all of you all are such an inspiration. Glad to have examples on this hair journey. TTYL

Welcome! Remember that many of the long curly naturals started as short curly naturals. Don'g get discouraged.

Welcome! I just joined the website today. I've been transitioning for a year and three months. Like everyone said, long natural beauties were short natural beauties. Be patient and don't give up. It's good to have this forum and support to keep you going.

welcome!

ALSO--don't get caught up in everybody else's long pretty curly hair that you see. That's a sure way of setting yourself up to get let down if your own hair doesnt quite turn out like that. lol Your hair will be gorgeous, no doubt, but premature comparisons can only make the transitioning-to-natural process more frustrating for you.
