Body butter on your hair???

I'm trying to find a great hair butter that I can purchase in stores to moisturize my twists and braids for the winter. Unfortunately, I haven't been having much luck, since I want something that is similar in texture/moisture to qhemet biologics products. However, there are a bunch of body butters that seem like the right texture and ingredients. For example, this body butter has everything from aloe vera juice to shea butter. Has anyone ever used body products on their hair?

the only body butter i have used is the str8 from the motherland shea butter and tru blue too shea 100% shea butter balm from bath & body works

hells yeah...as long as the ingredients are on the up and up. A good example is Jane Carter's Nourish and Shine--it's for the body or hair. It has very simple ingredients. For something like this (alba), that has a couple of ingredients I'm unfamiliar with, I'd google the strange ones, and patch test before proceeding.

i like straight shea butter on my hair and body (unrefined, raw).

I have made a whipped shea butter that is wonderful on my hair. Have you ever tried making your own?

Don't really like Jane Carter ( I know i will prob get blasted for that-lol), her ingredients still include some things, but not as much. What i have discovered and fell in love with was Oyin Handmade's "Whipped Pudding"! Not only does it smell delicious, it enhances my curls and waves (makes them POP) and i love the moisture i get. It is also a great body butter. A little goes a long way and you can get a discount from their podcasts passwords. It's about $18 for biggest size, but so well worth it in my opinion.
