Good Morning everyone,

I am so excited to share with you this morning the accomplishment I achieved earlier this morning. I finally cut off all my permed ends after 18.5 months of transitioning. I did it yall! I BC'd sooner than I anticipated but I love how alive my curls look. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Those permed strands were weighing me and my hair down and I got tired of those annoying knots at the ends. I wanted to cut during my previous wash but my bf said to wait but last night after he went back to BK I said now is the time. I feel so liberated. My wash time will now decrease because I can finger detangle much easier. I am a newly natural and I'm loving it. "Livin my life like it's golden..." I will post pics tomorrow. Forgot my phone. Have a blessed day everyone. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

WOW!!! That is great news!!! I for one cannot wait to see pictures. You have been giving great advice for a while and after 18.5 months of transitioning, I know your hair is screaming joy that you got rid of those ends. I am only 8 months and dont know when I am gonna BC and think it will just be a spur of the moment thing for me.

CONGRATS!!!!!

Thanks chicas. I'm so excited about the wash n gos everyone raves about. I will no longer be getting a sew-in for the summer and will try to keep up with my hair during the heat. Perhaps I'll even give henna a try. I'm a cassia, girl.

As soon as I get off, before school I will take some glam shots. LOL

Good morning curlies,

Unfortunately I was too lazy to take some glam shots yesterday but I managed to take a few this morning just for you. My hair has experienced shrinkage but I don't think I'm too concerned with that. I'm amazed at how much easier it is to take down my bantu knots since I no longer have those dreadful permed ends.

Yesterday I wore my first twistout and this morning it's the staple style of a bantu knotout. The first pics are right after I cut and cowashed my hair:

I am loving that!!!! See I also love the amount of natural hair you have and you are inspiration that I can make it to a year if not longer!!!! Look at those curls pop!!! Cute style in the last picture too!!! That is a very nice amount of length after 18 months, and now Im gonna try to stick iit out!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!

You can do it Laleepop. Just don't contemplate on length because you're hair is growing. Just cut when your ready, even if it's 2 yrs or 2 months of transitioning. The point is to wait as long as you're comfortable to wait and when you finally do, your curls are going to be glorious.
