Wash N Go With Conditioner Only?
Hi ladies, I'm new to curlynikki. I am getting ready to BC soon and I'm trying to understand the best way to do a wash N go. I see that many people like KCCC and KCNT as well as other gels when doing a wash n go. However, I Wanted to know if any ladies did not use a gel for a wash and go and just had great results using a conditioner or a leave-in for their wash n gos? IF so, what brand?

Re: Wash N Go With Conditioner Only?
Hello and welcome DIVA!!! I've had successful wash n gos without gel. I actually get the best results just leaving conditioner in my hair! But recently a lot of people have been getting awesome results with the accordion technique, first shown my MahagonyCurls (she has a thread on here and a youtube channel with a video!). So I guess to answer your question yes you can do a WnG just using regular old conditioner, no gel needed

Hey! Welcome!
Yes you sure can, 90% of the time I use conditoner only. You can visit my thread (the link is at the bottom of this post) to see pictures! Welcome!

Thanks ladies!
Mahogany- I visited your channel and I love it! You have been so helpful! Giving me the inspiration to NOT put a relaxer in my hair (which i was on the brink of doing I'm going to get magnetic rollers tonight and try a rollerset this weekend when the rain clears up. I've tried it before and it failed miserably, even after trying to do a saran wrap, but I'm pretty sure I had way too many products in my hair. Hopefully Jane Carter will be better!

I think it could work well. My daughter has very thick hair and I have to do her hair in sections. I use the same amount on one section of her hair as I do my whole head! As you continue to use the conditioner, your the slip will increase and your curls will become more defined. Of course sometimes the products just won't work for your hair, but you want to make sure you are giving your hair time to adjust to the product as well.

Welcome, I've tried both methods, with condish only and with IC Fantasia gel. I get more definition when I use the gel. The best thing is to experiment and see what works best for you. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the support ladies! I seriously called a beautician today asking about a texturizer, but a little voice told me to waaaaaaaiiiiit because I'm still transitioning and don't even what my beautiful curly tresses will be like! SO...I'm waiting, but not too much longer. I think I may end up BCing earlier than I anticipated, otherwise, that creamy crack might get me back! lol

Re: Wash N Go With Conditioner Only?
i think part of my problem is that i have a TWA, and i dont know the proper way or havent figured out the proper way to apply the product, my sides are dry and have little curl the top does pretty good curling and the back has it moments. Becuase its short i just slap stuff in but maybe like you do with your daugher, Mocha, i need to take it in sections and try....
