I see that you are station in iraq I have alot of family and friends that are out there with KBR.
With that said had a couple of questions to ask. My mom has been natural for 8 yrs now (I think give or take) and has been in iraq for the last year with KBR. She has asked for suggestions on different products for me to send her to try. What websites have you purchased from if any? What products have worked for you out there? I know that in the summer it gets extremely hot and in the winter where she was was extremely cold. the sand storms are rediculiuos from the pics i have seen so do you use shampoo or not? how offen do you wash?

Hey LaToya28!!! My sons birthday is actually the 27th of December but the it falls right in the middle of Christmas and New years so we had to do it on the 18th. I can not wait for the Bee Mine to get here. Will I know how to use it.. nope.. But I will figure it out.

Where in Iraq is your mother? There are some places that get more dust storms than a lil bit.. lol! I use Oyin Handmade for shampoo, conditioner, and leave in. Below is the list of products and websites that I use so Diva can survive in this stupid heat!

Tell your mom it is important to go to a website called Ship it APO. They will give her an address that she can use if any site does not ship to APO. www.shipitapo.com. She can also just send it home to you and you ship it to her.

When it comes to my regimen, I mainly do protective styles now(briading with two strand twist). I wash every other week, unless there is a dust storm. When there is one i usually have a full hat on my hair or a bag or something to cover my hair from the dust. My wash goes as follows:

Giovanni 50/50 Protien - sit for 30 min to an hour (I usually watch tv)
Rinse
Head to Toe Shampoo - 1 good shampoo
Rinse
Honey Hemp Conditioner - let sit in hair for like 5-10 min
Rinse

I then get out of the shower spray the Juices and Berries and then put in a leave in conditioner (which will be Yes to Cucumber as soon as it gets here to see how that feels). If your mom has been natural for 8 years then her hair is much MUCH MUCH LONGER than mine so then she can add her oil essentials and do whatever style she wants.

Thanks hun! He actually sent an apology with a funny clip to make up for how he approached me. I don't let people comments affect me because to one negative comment I have 30 people that love my hair! I have learned that people that have to look and pick apart EVERYONE they see have a self image issue with themselves that needs to be worked out.

WASH WASH WASH!! I am going to wash on Saturday so that on the 15th I can leave work early. I am going to have the lady at the beauty shop braid my hair up and then I will twist the front. That will be done on the 15th the day before my Birthday.

Thanks for all the information she is in camp liberty. She actually just got transfered there from H3. She has been natural for like 8 yrs but she had locs. she jus cut the locs off when she got hired fearing that there will be no one there to maintain them.

Well the thing is, for everyone birthday we gather in an office and fake surprise and happy birthday. I keep my work as work I am not really cool with any of these people. So I will smile and eat a slice of pizza.

This will be my first Bday here since I been out here.. Last year I was in Trinidad. humph!

That is where you are from originally right? Next b-day is going to be blast cause you will be home.

My family originates from Trinidad so we went out there to visit family that we have never met. It was great because we got to see my grandfather before he passed.

Next year I am going to be at home but I am not going to do tooo much because I want my 30th to be BIG!!
