2nd Timer

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Hi, I am new to this board and i just wanted to intorduce myself. I am a 2nd timer, the first time i went natural it lasted only 5 months. I hate that i gave in to the creamy crack, but quickly came to my senses. My last perm was 1/9/10, so I am still fresh. I hope this time around will be the real thing. I have a long ways to go before I reach my goal.

Hello. That's exactly how I did. I went about 6 months and my hair was still a little short (think Rihanna before she shaved the sides) at the time and I just couldn't do anything about it, I thought I looked stupid and I definitely wasn't cutting my hair, so I cracked and gave back into the relaxer. But, July 2009 was my last relaxer. My rationale was to just let my hair get longer and then go without chemicals so it'd be easier to blend. Got sew ins, senegalese twists, half wigs etc... and I'm proud to say that it's been 8 months since my last relaxer and that I have set my appointment for July to cut off my relaxed ends. (that's if I have the guts to do it) So, good luck I'm sure that you'll make it through because being on Curly Nikki is such a great way to keep you on the track to your Natural YOU. (if I wouldn't have found it, I'd still be relaxing to this day)

Well I'm kind of in love with Bantu knot outs but I've been wearin it pulled back with a bra strap headband, sort of like a puff but I tuck my ends to make it more of a bun if that makes sense lol

Really?? I did a mini chop last night in the back and a piece in the front. I was starting to get excited but my boyfriend forced me to put the scissors down. Make sure to post pictures of your BC, I'm sure it'll look great!

I cant deal with the two textures and all of the transition hair styles.
