How did you come up with it?

This is not hair related at all but I was wondering how did you chose your screen name/user name. Some are obvious but some are very interesting. I'll start with mine.

I came up with mine because i have an aol screename that is Brwnsknlady11 (named after the Black Star song "Brown Skinned Lady")..so I liked Brownskindiva a little better

My desire was to be blonde.

My name is Nina and this is a new me! "NewlyNina"

CocaColaCutie is a name I came up with back in my "Internet Dating/Pimping" days to elicit messages and responses. LOL. It refers to my coca cola brown skin, a bubbly personality (once I warm up to ya) and a cute face. Now I just pretty much use it everywhere I'm online.

Its my first and middle name

Poeticlyspkng is my aol handle, one that I came up with because I was always writing poetry. I feel like my hair now reflects my poetic license to express myself on the outside as well as the in.

aka = my sorority = Alpha Kappa Alpha
princess = my fav aunt refused to call me anything but Princess when I was growing up
00 = I pledged in 2000

I really should change it but I'm just too lazy to think of another one.

My name reflects the relationship I had with my Pop-pop.
He raised me from the time I was 12, and I was his baby.
28 is for my b-day 8/28, my Me-mom's b-day 10/28 and Pop-pop's b-day 2/8.

Mine is one of my nicknames... my name is Makini.

Mine's not very creative lol...It comes from my first name [Christen] and I chose 8 because my birthday falls on the 8th of September...

Take a wild guess lol. I knew no one would have the same name as me (especially as their screen name) and didn't feel like coming up with anything special.

It's a part of my own name. When people cannot remember or pronounce the full name, they call me Misha.

People that i know as well as strangers have said to me comments such as you look like a black "barbie" or a "black brats doll" r some sort of "doll". My aunt even told me that she thinks it would be cool to make a doll that looked exactly like me lol- (gotta luv family for souping u up). I guess bc of my wide eyes and features? So it stuck with me for years and my names on dif sites range from black doll to barbie... 83 is the year I was born

Ha! I always thought the same thing whenever I saw her posts.

My screen name came from the main character out of one of my favorite books, Lilith's Brood by Octavia E. Butler. Her name was Lilith Iyapo and she was mother to the post nuclear world, in a manner of speaking, hence the Eve. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
