Denman Brushes Empty Denman Brushes

Post by SisterBoyd 23rd January 2010, 2:00 am

If you go to the 3 minute mark she talks about the differences in the denman brushes. I didn't know about these differences. This could be the cause of some your problems with this particular brush.

Denman Brushes Empty Re: Denman Brushes

Post by Keisha 26th January 2010, 2:55 am

ok this video came around at the right time. I have the denman D3 brush. I hate that damn brush, I hate seeing hair in it everytime I use it. Going along with what everyone else raved about I purchased that brush, without researching 1st, but who would think to research a brush right? Well I now know that I should be using the denman D31 brush and I just so happen to have seen the brush at a local BSS (on the packaging it says "for afro texture hair") I wasn't sold on that statement alone. Anyway, I took a picture of it because I had never seen it before and I had never heard any of the ladies online talk about it... until now. Guess im off to the BSS in the morning. Thanks for posting the vid SisterBoyd. Oh here's a picture of the Brush. The D3 is on the left and the D31 is in the center, idk what that black thing is on the right.

See we were supposed to do some serious research! I feel your pain Wink Well I ordered the D31 on Amazon for about $10. I couldn't find it at any of the Sally's and didn't want to go on a witch hunt for the thing so I just ordered it.

...actually there is an article on this website about it, but it was posted a while ago. Who knew? Not us ha hahaha

Interesting! Thanks for this info. Who knew there was a line of Denman brushes? I'll go see if I can scope one out.

Well I received my brush this weekend. This is what it looks like. It is so obvious!

The box clearly says for thick, afro hair...man!

How often can I use a Denman brush? I just brought one today and fell in love with it. I know I cant use it everyday because it can cause split end (so ive heard), so how often can I use it?

I watched the video...WoW! At the Sally's here, they only sell the D3. I just assumed this was the one everyone was talkin' about. I use it to detangle in the shower 2x per week. Don't get me wrong I never second guessed it because it was working just fine for me. Now that my hair is getting longer, I have to use a wide tooth comb first and then the denman. I'm glad you posted this. I bet this is what my hair needs right now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Ok I used my D31 this today when I did my hair and overall I like it. The first time was hard to tell if it was easier on my hair because I detangled while I was deep conditioning. However, I will say that I didn't have as much shedding as I'm used to. Also, I noticed my curls were defined at that point. The second time was as I was running my conditioner through my hair (Tresseme for conditioner only method) and the brush glided through my hair. I have well defined curls and hardly any hair in the brush.

So I would recommend purchasing this brush.

I found that it is better to comb detangle and then use the Denman. You won't see much hair in the brush. I will detangle with the comb with conditioner... then i add JBCO and then use the Denman

Janique, which Denman do you have? If you don't have the D31 or D41 you will see a lot of hair in your brush.

I have this comb, and all I have to say is....

STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND GET THIS COMB!!!!!!!!!!!

It was $32 with s/h when all was said and done and to quote Mo'Nique in "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins", it was "worth every pen-tay!!!"
