Perm Rods

I am sure there must be a trick to it, but I cant get my perm rods to stay in. I have short hair so i brought serveral differnt sizes, i roll them tight, pull the elastic thing over but they dont stay tight or come completely out. What am I doing wrong???? You may have to use rolling papers to make them stay. Also make sure you are not using too much product.

I always use rolling paper when I use these types of rollers for smoother ends. Are you rollers too large? What size did you purchase? I like the gray ones and my hair is a lil past shoulder length when stretched.
