Yogurt as a deep conditioner
Does anyone have any yogurt deep conditioner recipes?
I have some FAGE, thick greek yogurt, and I think it will make a great DC.

The only thing close is the Coconut Cream Relaxer that's really a deep conditioner...

Thanks, they were funny. But I am up to try it. I just don't know if you are suppose to rinse out with conditioner or shampoo. I want to try it because I am having major tangles at the line of demarcation. We will see [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Yes, definitely rinse it out. I just used coconut milk and it was think so I cowashed afterwards. You can use this as a prepoo or a deep conditioner after you cowash or shampoo.

I thought yogurt was used for protein treatments, which I'm guessing would require a deep conditioner afterwards???

I did the treatment. I used 1/4 cup of AO HSR, 1/4 cup of fage yogurt, and added coconut milk to make it nice and creamy. I DCed for 5 hours (don't ask). Then I rinsed and added just a bit more of AO HSR then rinsed out. Then I styled with my whipped shea butter mix.
My result was less detangles due to loosened curls and very moisturized hair.
Would I do this treatment again? If I was going to transition longer than the 3 months I have left. Yes!!! But as a full natural? Probably not, unless I knew my curl pattern wet and dry and wanted to achieve looser curls.
I really [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] my corkscrew curls so I hope it comes back.
I believe in the video that SisterBoyd suggested, the women didn't leave it in long enough to see a result in enlongated curls. The tighter the curl, the longer you should leave the mix in. I do believe the yogurt is the main ingredient having the loose curl effect. Due to the lactic acid coupled with the coconut milk. However the coconut milk on it's own or with a condish, I do not believe will have this loose curl effect just the moisturized effect.
Anyway, that's my experience.
