Henna mixed with yogurt?
Has anyone mixed henna with yogurt? I read a little bit about it on a blog and am trying to find more information. My first attempt with henna was 2 months ago. I mixed with green tea, honey, and olive oil but my hair was super dry and took a while to get back to itself. I want to do henna again and would like to try a different mix that won't leave my hair so dry. For those of you who have mixed henna with yogurt... what kind of yogurt did you use? What kind of results did you get?

I mixed with yogurt....I feel like it was one of the reasons it was easy to apply

I mix mine with yogurt as well. I have used the plain store brand - sometimes, I will get FANSAY (southern pronunciation) and use the Greek plain yogurt. It does make it easier to apply.

I was wondering the same thing! tea doesnt make my hair dry but its WAY too messy. Ive only henna-ed once and I want to do it again but the mess is very unappealing.

I also use yogurt in my henna now. I only henna'ed twice. The first time was henna mixed with amla, green tea, honey, and olive oil. I dc'ed with aubrey organics honeysuckle rose. My hair was sooooo dry. The next time I tried plain yogurt, green tea, honey, and olive oil. I dc'ed with my honey child honey hair mask. This mixture was much better for my hair.

I am in love with the henna mixed with yogurt treatment. I followed Tiashauntee's instructions. I mixed the henna with plain yogurt from the grocery store. It was very easy to apply. I left the henna on over night. Got up in the morning, rinsed out all of the henna. Co-washed once with HE Hello Hydration. I didn't have any deep conditioner, so I made sure to liberally apply HEHH to my hair, put on a plastic cap and covered with my scarf. I "deep conditioned" all day! Around 10 pm last night, I finally washed out the conditioner. My hair was noticeably softer, and not dry at all. Compared to my first experience (henna mixed with green tea, honey, and olive oil) this was a breeze. And the color! I can actually see it. The henna picks up on my natural highlights. Its spectacular! My hair is still black, but it has subtle hints of brownish red in it now. I'm hooked. I will be doing this treatment once a month!
