Menopause Natural Hair tips?
So, I came home for Christmas with my first successful Bantu Knot Out, and got lots of compliments. My favorite aunt expressed her desire to go natural, and I shared this site with her. She really wants to stop getting relaxers for a number of reasons, but she expressed concern. She's going through menopause, and even with a relaxer she frequently sweats out her 'do in the middle of the night because of hot flashes. I know we have women of all ages on this site, so I am wondering if there are any tips or tricks. I am not a big sweater in general, so I didn't really have any ideas about maintaining my styles when I get a little misty.
Any Ideas?
Thanks!
Tia

This question will probably get better exposure and response on the general thread than the transition thread. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Tia- I am not in menopause. However these are just my thoughts- most naturals wear a braid out - twist out or coil outs. So if the hair has product on it at night- It shouldn't really be a problem as long as in the AM, it is dry for the "out" portion of the style.
Plan B - if she starts with a twa- then - the style option is limited to wash and goes mostly. I will ask my mom what happens to her. She did a BC and rocks a low cut (like a guy).

No problem!
Also keep in mind your mom is sweating on and off all throughout the day and at night in her sleep (hot flashes) vs. someone who is working out for an hour or two 4-5 days a week...It is a little more challenging for woman menopausing
