Straightening Gone Wrong!!
Hi Ladies,
I have a major problem on my hands and it has to deal with the fact that I chose to straighten my hair and to my dismay I had no body. My hair has always flowed in the wind when I was relaxing and I would like to have that same body with my natural hair. Please help me get my body back!
My Process:
Shampooed and Conditioned, added Cantu Shea Butter Oil for heat protection, blow dried and flat ironed. Added a little gloss for shine.
Please Help!

Re: Straightening Gone Wrong!!
are you using a true heat protectant? the cantu may be too heavy for ur hair.
Re: Straightening Gone Wrong!!
I've recently read that you shouldn't add oil to hair before applying heat---if you do it's kind of like frying/cooking your hair... you may want to look that up.
I agree w/ lena, use minimal product after washing, conditioning, and a leave-in conditioner--try a good heat protecant, that is labeled for that purpose, that should work to keep hair protected and light/airy. Then use your Cantu Oil Sheen for shine once your done straightening.
A roller set, then flat iron may help in keeping it airy too.
