Teacher Cuts Little Girl's Natural Hair

A schoolteacher was arrested, for cutting off a little girl's hair.

I am still fuming that all the teacher will get is a 175.00 fine.

I dont know if I could remain calm, if I were the mother. True enough I dont care for beads myself. The noise can be irritating. Perhaps, a nice note home would have sufficed.

I was going to post this story earlier, along with the schools address. Not sure if letters would get the teacher fired but it sure would make me feel a little better.

I can't believe this woman had the nerve to cut a childs hair like that. And not be fired over it?!?! RIDICULOUS!!!!

Ugh just thinking about it makes me so mad. My daughter wears beads and barrettes. I wish someone would.......

Ohhh, and if you watch the video, is it just me or does the principal seem kind of nonchalant about it? idk. That's the vibe I'm getting.

Can you imagine being that little girl and passing that same teacher out in the hallway for the rest of the school year? I would be traumatized...

This is insane! I would call the police on myself, because all hell would break loose!!

I'm usually one to remain calm in tense situations but MESS WITH MY CHILD and its a WRAP!! Looking at the comments of what some people said on the article has me thinking, " ARE YOU SERIOUS PEOPLE!?" Absolutely not. It would not be a good day for that teacher. How about she have her hair cut off and thrown in the trash?

Exactly! But somehow I think you would get more than a $175 fine.

@Nik- I didn't even think of that. I wouldn't want to see that teacher. According to the statements, the teacher, principal and school board, all seem nonchalant to me!
It appears that the teacher cut off at least 6 inches, to me!

I can't fathom this...can't wrap my head around it.
And the nerve of the district to say everyone is stressed over budget cuts...WTF does this little girl's hair got to do with her freakin' (insert another word here)??? If she was stressed she should call EAP, go on a freakin' vacation...shoo disability or something. But to cut her hair? She is basically abusing this child by embarassing her in front of the class - basically the entire school knows about this. I can't imagine how this child feels.

Wow they seriously downplayed this situation. Ok it was 1 braid but still humiliation that will probably stay with that little girl for a lifetime! If I ever have a daughter, I wish a @$#^**@ would!

Ok, so I just read that article and some of the comments posted and I am pissed the F**K off (exscuse my language). And you guys were right everyone seem so nonchalant about it. Are you kidding me? You cut this baby's hair in front of her classmates. That's humiliating, this child may have all kinds of psychological and emotional things going on because of this. I can't believe these people are acting like its not a crime. IT IS A CRIME!!!!

OMG! This is so ridiculous! It would've been some serious praying going on if I was her mom! I would've definitely gone to the school with scissors in hand for the teacher's hair..a taste of her own med then I would've said how frustrated I was. That teacher has some issues for real and I can't understand why she is still in the classroom. Sounds like she needs some anger management classes or something and she basically humiliated that child in front of her peers.

@naturallydestined- yes she does need anger management. The whole idea that she cut the childs hair due to budget cuts- is a mess! I would be so mad, that teacher would not want to see me! AT ALL!

I cant believe this! I would be PISSED OFF if some teacher wen tand cut my baby's hair off. oh yes there would be hell to pay. I can't understand who they are just giving her a fine... that little girl is going to have self esteem problems for a while while she tries to regrow her hair on her bald spot. That Teacher needs to have her hair cut off!!

All of my gangsta would have come out in this situation. This is the day I would have gotten locked up for real. I can't believe she still has a job. That is assault in my book and then the class laughed at the little girl. There is not a word that exists that can describe what I would have done to that teacher.

Oh yeah I would've whooped her azz and then said i was just frustrated, but I wouldn't apologize!!!!!

I emailed it to my mom and she said:
"I think I would have went to the school fighting."

omg this pissed me off so bad..i hate the fact that the mother did the "right thing" and this woman may only be fined $175. as ed lover would say C'mon Son..i agree ladies i think i would have been in jail that day too..

The teacher needs to lose her job! She did not have the right to cut that girls braid I dont care if it was annoying her. She needs to go ! She humiliated that little girl in front of everyone and made her cry, unfortunatley you dont forget things like that yes she needs to go!
