Deep Conditioner Help Please. Empty Deep Conditioner Help Please.

Post by prettylittlelady 22nd January 2011, 2:17 am

Well, I've searched for the answer to this everywhere and I can't find it, So i just decided to ask.
I'm a new transitioner and I plan on deep conditioning my hair once a week, but every "deep conditioner" I find just says to leave it in for 3-5 minutes. Well, I wanted a deep conditioner that i could apply, put on a plastic cap and sit under the dryer for about 15 minutes. Could I still do that with a regular deep conditioner thats says to leave it in for 5 minutes?

You probably could. You could also use any regular conditioner as a deep conditioner. Also, the Shea Moisture deep treatment (at target) can be left in for 5-30 minutes.

I always leave mine on for about 20 minutes regardless of what the directions say. I think some people even let it on overnight.

I agree. I have used regular conditioner as long as I've wanted to keep it on my hair--an hour or two, overnight, etc.
