My First Wash N Go!
I've got to say that this has been a goal of mine, but it's been the style I've been most hesistant about.
A wash n' go shows your shrinkage in it's full glory. You really have to be comfortable with your shrinkage to accept the results of this style. I'm happy to say that I am 100% there.
Trust and believe me. Your mental transition isn't complete when you cut your relaxer off. The journey still continues.
Regimen:
I took my kinky twists down and was met with a lion's mane of dryness.
Prepoo - Chicoro's mix (aloe vera juice, olive oil, coconut oil)
Cowash - Tressemme Naturals Moisturizing Conditioner
Leave in - Giovanni Direct
Oil - Castor/jojoba oil
Gel - Olive Oile Eco Styler
Shake, shake, shake...Done.
Results:
I did a YT video that will be posted this evening, but here are the pics!!!
I did this around 4pm something. It still wasn't totally dry by morning. I slept on a satin pillow case. My left side was smooshed, but i just refreshed with with Hydrotherma Naturals Daily Growth Lotion and a little water misted on the flat side.
I fell in love with my hair all over again. It just takes time, research, and commitment to get it right. Practice makes perfect!

I love it! Great job! I was also looking at your fotki and we transitioned for the same amount of time, bc'ed a day apart, and both of us will be celebrating our 1 year of no relaxer next month! I wonder what we're gonna do next, lol.

Oooh it looks so lush. I want to stick my hand in it! lol! Know I think I know some people just go diving their hands all up in other peoples scalps. Makes me think about the scalp molester I ran across. Great results!

Thanks! It took me twice as long because I was being very careful, but I'm glad to have another style to practice on.

Yay! If you have a fotki, add me so we can keep track of each other! Congrats to you!

I was driving to work getting nervous that someone was going to try to touch it and I would lose my job. Thankfully, it was a false alarm.
