Can you finger coil long hair?
I've loving my finger coils and coil outs. Great texture that lasts a few days. My hair is soft and usually doesn't hold curls or sets long; so this is great! No longer do I have to wet my hair everyday like I've done for most of the past 16 years.
I was wondering if I'll still be able to finger coil my hair when it gets longer. Anyone with long hair doing it? Any YouTube videos you would recommend?

I've wondered that too. I use to finger coil my hair when it was shorter and I loved it. I haven't done it since it's grown out though

I have a video where I finger coiled mine. I was only 4 months into being natural and they were my second set of coils/ringlets. Are these what you are talking about?

I've done finger coils before, but b/c of the my varying curl patterns it looked crazy so I pulled it into finger-coil-puff. It was very cute though...if I find a pic I'll post it!

I do finger coils on my hair...it's about BSL. I don't love the coils on me but I like the subsequent coil-out! If anyone has tips on keeping the coils neat before separating, it would be appreciated!

How do you guys get the roots to coil? I've tried but the first inch or two of hair just stays poofy and undefined

I do it every now and then when I end up with straight pieces of hair that wont curl (usually 3-5 day hair). Its about APL in the front and a little longer in the back.

Girl no that is not 4 months of groth. I forgot what I was refering to but it was not that! lol! I would be flinging hair all over the place if my hair grew that fast! Let me rephrase that! I was natural but I had only been taking care of my hair properly for 4 months!

I have been dying to try a coil-out, but not sure if it will come out right. DreamMerchant your hair is so pretty!! When the coils are dry, do you leave them or do you fluff them? Do they last for a few days?

Thank you but I hated the look on me. It looked to...............salon-ish. I put my bonnet on that night so that I could see what they looked like the next day and I still hated it. That was my second time trying them but maybe I should have pulled them apart or something but they did not look right. I do nto like the "fresh from the salon" look and that is how it looked. Maybe I did them too big. I may try them again this summer.

@DreamMerchant. Yes! That's exactly what I'm talking about. Your coil are soooo pretty. I haven't heard of Twisted Sista before. Might have to get my PJ on.
