Freezing Henna Empty Freezing Henna

Post by mchlljy 5th December 2009, 2:05 am

I recently just mixed my henna, but I don't have time to apply it and such until tomorrow afternoon. As soon as I finished mixing the henna, I sealed it and put in the freezer without letting the mixture sit. By doing that, does it mess with the dye releasing?

I did that to mine and actually took it out the freezer and then put in back in one more time before I used it because I ended up having no time 2 days in a row and it worked perfectly.

The first few times I didn't but I was in a rush the last time so I sat it near the heat vents on the floor.

I have a question....after you guys freeze your Henna, and it has thawed out some, what do you do to revive it a little? For instance, do you add in more honey, water, or tea? Just wondering! Last time I used some frozen henna, I added in some more honey to loosen it up more.

I don't add anything at all to it. I freeze all my henna in a ziplock bag and then when I'm ready to use it I simply defreeze in warm water and then use straight out of the bag.

@R2D2 Thanks so much! I henna'd my hair 2nite, and unthawed it, and sat it in some warm water as you said to loosen it up, and it worked perfect! Thanks so much!
