Tie it up??

Hey girlies,
I've been doin braid outs and twist outs on my hair as of late, and today I did a flexi rod set and i have all of these little curls that I absolutely love. The question is how do I tie it up for bed?? I have a silk scarf that I use, to tie my hair but I always wake up with the sides smushed to my head lol. It always jus fluffs out with product and my fingers..Jus wondering if there was anything else i could do to not get that smush effect lol..
