In the winter, my hair not only looks dry, it is dry! 
I have to keep up with DCing, protective styles, sealing with butters or heavy oils and moisturizing often. Thankfully I have steam heat in my apartment (102 year old building) so at least its not taking a beating when I'm home and the heat is on.
Avoiding products with glycerin when its cold and dry is key for me too...
