Alive and Loving it! Empty Alive and Loving it!

Hello there! I've realized that there isn't a section on this forum that expresses how we feel about our hair. A thread that is solely based on the positive feelings of our hair and why we love it. For those people who just want to tell someone, "damn, my hair is awesome" I believe this is your place.

Let me be the first to say that I love my thick, strong, beautiful, versatile, envious hair. ;]

I am sooooo grateful for my hair because of how strong it is. I have not wash, co-washed, conditioned, lotion or moisturize my hair for the past 2wks and it has been soooo soft, it amazes me.

What did I do you ask? I did my version of micro-twist, which was VO5 wash and conditioner was left in. My hair was parted in 4 sections and it only took me 2-3 hours because of the length on my hair, that passes my shoulder straight, touches my shoulder natural. I watched the nanny re-runs which is my guilty pleasure because I can watch it all day and all night at whatever time.

My curly sisters please keep this going. I believe that for the people who are transitioning or the people who are thinking about going back to that creamy crack, to remember why the curly sister community love their hair. Dont ever lose your way, because if you do, we will always be with you.

Well..first off let me say that I love my natural hair. I just did a mini BC after a year and a half transition. The transition was pretty easy for me, as I usually styled my hair with braid outs. I decided to cut my relaxed ends off because the two textures just was not getting along anymore, and my braid outs were starting to look like crap ( very thin ends) So I chopped off those skinny ends, and I was amazed at how my hair came to life right before my eyes. After I chopped, I cowashed and twisted my hair for the night..as I was twisting I loved the way I can now swirl the ends on my finger, and it actually stays curly now! I fell in love with my hair all over agin run

When I first went natural it was a relief to me No more salons spending lots of money & time I loved the fact that it was short I could wash daily & didnt have to worry about it 2months ago I got very frustrated because I didnt know what to do with my hair Ive only been natural for 7months but my hair is very thick & kinky so I didnt know what to do with it I had decided to go to the barber to get it trimmed down but my daughter who is also natural talked me out of it & Im glad she did
I am very proud of the progress that I have made so far with my natural hair Its still in its TWA mode but Im making progress & thats what matters to me sunny
