I got scalp molested

Wednesday, we took our 8th graders on a field trip at the local college for an education fair. There was a booth there with a woman that "claimed" that she was an expert with natural hair. I was looking at some ingredients on a jar of some kind edge smoother when the woman reached out and stuck her fingers all up in my scalp and at the same time asking "Is dis yo hur?". WHAAAAAAAAAT ? I replied back with "Please do not touch my hair or scalp. And yes this is my hair hair that grew from my scalp". She looked at my like I was crazed. I had a nice twistout going and this heiffer fuzzed up the side of my hair my fluffing it up with her fingers. I did not see it coming. My head was down and I was reading. I would never reach out and touch anyone's anything. So then she asked "do you have a texturizer or something?". Nope sure don't. Then I asked her "how do you specialize in natural hair? " She says "I straighten it, texlax it or put it in braids". That does not sound like she is an expert at natural hair to me. I am just saying.

Why do strangers feel like they can touch you without asking first. Or give unsolicited advice. If she had to ask if your hair was texturized I hoped you ran from that place. She didn't have a clue about natural hair.

It saddens me to hear that because we really need more real "experts" in the natural hair community and the sad part is those who think they are experts really are not.

You know if she was in your scalp all like that she was looking for a track or something.. She had a lot of nerve to do that. You handled it very well..

Ughhhh reading this just made me mad. I would have laughed though when she was explaining her "expertise". Ignorant woman

DO NOT PUT YOUR LIL NASTY FINGERS UP IN MY HEAD!! you handled it well, I cringe every time someone does that. If you ask..eh maybe. Only because when I was thinking about going natural I asked someone that.. but it was because I genuinely wanted to know, I was so clueless lol. So with that said don't touch me, reach out to touch, or look at me like you thinking about touching me.. all of the above are no-no's!!

Other than that how was the field trip for the kids?

It was even creepier because she had those long salon nails and I just cringe at the thought of what was under her nails. I washed my hair as soon as I got home that night. Besides I could not bust out with an "oh hell no you did not just put your nasty fingers up in my scalp" because there were children there. I am use to getting the "is that your hair" questions from the middle schoolers but never from a grown woman.

see i got some bad reflexes lol id probaby grab her hands right out of my head..that is sooo nasty she probably had those loooong 2 inch ghetto nails too..but u did handle it very well i must say

But look at it like this...your hair blew her away and she just had to know if it was real! You crumbled her know-nothing, hair expert face!

That is all kinds of messed up! People are just rude sometimes. Wish somebody would...

She was just ignorant and sorry to say but there are too many of them out there that feel the need to see if it's REALLY our hair! I get that a lot and yes, they wanna touch up in it but thankfully everyone ASKS first!

If that was me, I would of been mad as hell. You don't go into somebody's SCALP, that is just wrong, and if she was an expert at "natural hair" she could of tell right way.
