Re: LilMsPuddles
When I henna, it is definitely messy. I put newspaper on the floor, toilet seat and sink. I end up with little henna puddles in various places. Some have done it with little mess, not sure how they do it. That stuff is so thick, as least the way I prepare it.

The first time I tried real henna it was but after awhile I got used to it and hardly make a mess.

I'll have to try the newspaper, I usually drop henna two or three times when applying but my prob is when my containers leave rings on counters!

Henna Update
So I hennaed this time for 4 hours and DCed with my old technician DC. I figured its for colored hair and technically my hair is so I'm going to roll with it so I did that instead of co-washing and this is what happened:
I had a little accidental towel friction but it's so well defined and has so much less shrinkage.
Only thing was it didn't detangle the way I thought, it wasn't bad but I expected more, but I don't think the towel helped either. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with it now that I put in KCKT and loads of EVCO

I've gotta use newspapers, I don't trust myself otherwise!

Re: LilMsPuddles
I think I'm going to start keeping a health/hair journal for the '10. In 2004 it took me 6 months to grow my hair from shoulder to waist length. I have never really thought about why but starting December 30 I'm going to come up with my hair/health goals. January 1 2010 I'm going to start charting my hair length, hair routine, diet and exercise routine.
My sons pediatrician thinks I still look 15 so I think I should still feel 15, to bad that will probably make me look 12.....I just can't win can I?

Re: LilMsPuddles
great results nice wave pattern chunky twist are just so much easier to do than to deal with smal twist and they are a better result for twist outs i think
